I’ve been reading the writing on the wall for the past five years. And it’s becoming more clear. ISDN is really on its way out. Voiceover actors who use it had better start making plans, or act now, if you happen to be in the Northeastern US.
I just happened upon this pertinent and very important article by Tom Ray, Technical Editor for Radioinfo how Verizon will stop taking orders for ISDN service in the Northeast as of May 18th.
As for the rest of us in other parts of the country, get ready for skyrocketing monthlies, and the inability to get new services as the telcos do away with dial tone and move completely into IP and fiberoptic delivery.
My Telos Zephyr 9202 is soon to become an antique!
