  1. Hi Bobbin,
I am really interested in getting into the voiceover industry. I am doing some research for my online class ‘Marketing Yourself on the Internet’, and came across your site. WOW!! I’m so impressed with what you’ve accomplished! I have my first coaching session with Elley-Ray Hennessey in Toronto, Ontario tomorrow. I’ve also signed up (for a month trial) with Voices.com. I have the sense professional ARTISTS are not impressed with these sites. I’ve sent about 6 audition recordings and at the very least, reading the scripts is good practice. Are you open to offering any advice. I believe I need to set up a home studio. I’ve also listened to several webinars by Susan Berkley. Thanks So Much for your time!!

    • Rosslyn,
Thanks for your comments and nice words! Elley-Ray is amazing! I’m sure you’ll enjoy her.
There are a lot of things available to help you on your journey as a voice actor. One of them is on this blog in the category Getting Started:

There is a page on Google I typed in as ” advice for newbie voice over”
and up popped a number of articles, many by my talented friends in the business. But beware of scams. I hate to see aspiring actors taken advantage of and allow themselves to be separated from their money in exchange for a demo when they are not ready.

      DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!
      Best,
      Bobbin

  2. I was wondering if you had any pointers on how to get opportunities for any industrial voice work? Please listen to my industrial demo (as well as my others) and offer any advise or tips pertaining to them. I thank you in advance for my assistance.

    Peace and continued blessings,

    M.E.L. III
