Well, the do it yourself sound booth is really coming along. Here it is, assembled, inside the house. This weekend, I purchased a barstrool with back-rest. The sound studio foam was applied to the internal walls with “Foamtak spray Adhesive”. A shelf for the wireless keyboard and mouse and another for the monitor was installed, plus an overhead lighting kit. Weather stripping and gaskets were applied.
All possible sound leaks were found and addressed.
We also had to buy more stuff: carpet, edging for finishing the exterior corners, gaskets for the light , doors and window, a “stealth fan” for ventilation, USB extension cable for the M Box , monitor extension cable, AC Adapter for interior light lamp, additional power strip with surge protector.
Pete will be out for a while. I’ll do what I can while he’s gone.
We’re getting closer….
Oh, man, NICE!! Waaaay cool! Great work!!

Hi Anna,
It is definitely a PROCESS that I hope will be wonderful. Thanks so much for stopping by, and for your encouraging remarks.
My husband will be out of town about a week, so there will be some finishing items that’ll have to wait, but we’re definitely getting there!
All the Best,
Bobbin Beam
Congrats on the booth Bobbin. Looks like you all know what you are doing. Very nice indeed. I hope it helps you out even more than expected.

Bobbin’s booth progress
I’ve linked a couple of times previously to the very cool, build-it-yourself voiceover booth that my friend Bobbin Beam and her husband have been building. The latest progress report is on her blog, including photos. It’s looking great Bobb…
Bobbin:
Make sure you have an audio sample “before” and “after” the booth so you can really enjoy the fruits of your labor!
Best always,
Peter
Hey Bobbin, your booth is really turning out beautifully. Congratulations and I hope it turns into a real money maker for you.
