Voice Talents Terry Daniel and Trish Basany created Voiceovers On Demand, a series of podcasts geared toward the voice over community. Access links are listed below.
I met Trish through Facebook and we’ve become fast pals. I asked if she would share some information about the podcasts for a feature on my blog, so here it is:
- Terry and Trish connected through having similar marketing techniques, and Terry asking to exchange website links, they seemed to be listed on a lot of the same sites. Trish was living in Dallas at the time, (now in the NYC area) and Terry is in Minneapolis.
This whole thing was really Terry’s idea and I honestly didn’t understand what a podcast even was when we started.
It’s been a lot of fun so far and we never thought it would turn into this big of a deal! I think it’s been successful so far because of the male AND female hosting and interview style most of the episodes follow. Terry’s just so darn entertaining!
We’ve acquired more than 500 subscribers since launching our first episode in September, 2007.
The first 2 episodes are just Terry and Trish, these episodes are geared specifically to new talent trying to break into the industry. Past episodes include guests: Brooke Hart (copywriter), John Florian (founder of VoiceoverXtra.com), David Ciccarelli (founder of Voices.com), Erik Sheppard (SAVOA organization), Rob Sciglimpaglia (attorney and fellow voice talent with tax tips), Joan Baker (national voice talent and author), and Liz De Nesnera (bilingual voice talent).
The 10th episode this week features an interview of NYC agent Phil Cassesse from Talentworks.
