Pattin’s Podcast Taps “Improvisation Truth”

I am so glad Tracy Pattin’s Voice Registry Blog resurrected a podcast interview with with Bill Applebaum (Part1) because I missed it the first time around.

The podcast offers such intelligent insight from a master of improv that can be of immense benefit to voice actors.

The most notable point to me: Using creativity to make strong, memorable choices speak to the process of listening and tapping into truthful honesty of what’s inside yourself when they count…in the booth or in auditions.

Improv training is very helpful to voice actors, as it forces listening, teamwork, helps you delve into your imagination and allows all your many choices to emerge.

Part 2 of the podcast interview with Bill Applebaum is here.

  1. Thanks for the heads up Bobbin. I’ll check these podcasts out. The Actors Centre here in London has just started up again, their “drop in” improv classes. I’m so excited and am looking forward to participating. I agree, improv is tremendously important to voice actors. Clients can ask for reinterpretations when you’re in the studio and you have to be ready to just ‘go there’ instantly! Cheers…
