Much to my delight, I received the following delivery today from Speaking Volumes, the audiobook publisher for “Sisters On The Case”, Volume One…, edited by the most amazing female mystery authors, Sara Paretsky, who created the popular private eye character, V.I. Warshawski. This book also includes, A Family Sunday in the Park: V. I. Warshawski’s First Case , by Sara Paretsky.
This is the cover to the 5-CD set.Notice the “Reader” credit . Woo-hoo!
It seems so real now. Just six months ago, I read this book in my recording booth, cloaked in the typical anonymity of this worthy profession, and here is the fruit of a tremendous labor of love, and I am bursting with excitement over seeing the physical manifestation of its arrival today.
I’ve been told by the publisher it will also be distributed at Audible.com, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble, but haven’t seen it there, yet.
Here’s the description at Speaking Volumes. Wow, a Reader credit on each disk, too!
Really exciting stuff for a Voicegal, and a feeling of accomplishment that’s gratifying as well. I just HAD to share.
That is super cool, Bobbin! What a great feeling you must have!
Seriously, I got the chills when I saw your name on that CD! Congratulations! I’ve never done an audiobook but can imagine the sense of accomplishment you must have had when you received that package. So excited for you chickie! I am proud to know you. 🙂
