advance fees ever.! If you are asked by any Voice Agent for money
before they get you a voice over job, you can be sure they are NOT legitimate and you can be sure you are being ripped off.
- Rule #2: Legitimate licensed voiceover
agents never charge money or require up front fees. They receive 10%
commission on voice-over jobs they book for you after you get paid for the voice over job.
- Rule #3: Legitimate licensed voice
acting agencies have relationships with voice-over casting directors,
personal managers, advertising agencies, producers and production
companies. They can legally negotiate voiceover work for you.
- Rule # 4– Regarding personal managers- there is no governing body. Tread very carefully. In most cases you will not need a manager until your income eclipses six figures per year.
