OKOK- It’s been a while. I’ve really had a lot of things happening, and truly needed a bit of a break. It can feel overwhelming, all the myriad things of life, swirling about. Needing constant attention.
I went to Wisconsin for a week on property management business, and worked hard, and played equally as hard. And it was good. I worked during the day on the house and fielded some auditions in between appointments with plumbers, heating and air folks, and other vebdors.. Two auditions I recorded on my stored Rode NT1A there worked well as I booked and recorded those projects when I got back in town here in CA. At night I visited and hung out.
I told you all about my makeshift unpretty booth I had there. Sorry no pics. It was truly unforgettable. Just a carpeted walk-in closet with a lot of blankets. The cool thing was I used my iPad this time to read my scripts so I didn’t have to print them out.
Once I returned to California, I was tired. And I conserved all my energies for work I booked while being away, plus fervently narrating a lengthy audiobook that I’m under contract to finish in a timely fashion.
Thus, my scarecity explained.
The good news is, I am nearly completed with the book. As of today…60 pages to go out of nearly 400! I’ll be talkin’ ’bout that more in the weeks to come.
In the meantime, I promised pics. Sorry no studio stuff, but of life-long friends. My home-town girls I literally grew up with and shard my wonder-years with… and a rockin’ reunion! Left to right: Debbie, Chrissie, Bobbin, Mary, Kathy.
