Des Moines, IA

 

We drove from Golden, CO to Des Moine, IA  today. I think it was about 700 miles and close to 10 hours. Miles and miles of Nebraska sailed by. Herds of Black Angus silhouetted against golden fields, and the sand hills of Nebraska were a lesson in geological formation.

Tomorrow’s drive will be a cake walk. We should arrive “home” by mid afternoon if we start out by 8:00 or so. Almost time to break out the champagne!
