Trending Voiceover gigs: Web Explainer Videos

In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a trend afoot in web design which includes dynamic content:  “Explainer Videos“. It’s another channel in which a voice talent can be heard and gainfully employed. These are usually animated productions, about one to two minutes in duration.

These videos create site ambience, keep the visitor engaged, and informed. They make better use of the web’s evolving  capabilities in delivering the all-imperative content…which will inform and entertain simultaneously.

Here’s one I’ve recently recorded the voice over for.  If the video doesn’t work above…   (This link below will take you to youtube)

  1. Hi my name is Kenny Dunkwu and I enjoyed the ex plainer video….as an experienced voice actor myself. I am wishing to develop my skills within this market…Do you have any specific suggestions as to how I can approach this market?

    Regards

    • Kenny,
Do your research and listen and learn. I’d look to websites that use them. Or find explainer videos on youtube to see how the various messages are applied, psycho-graphically and demographically. . Most are under two minutes long, and some are better than others, visually. Of course, I feel the ones which impact the most are those that use voiceover, as not all do.

Best wishes in your own voiceover career.
