I’m honored to be recently  recruited into The VOXY Ladies a unique boutique of female voice over talent  representing all genres, niches and sounds in the voice over industry.

The VOXY Ladies get behind very cool events, like the upcoming “Robapalooza” voiceover coaching workshop this Friday , August 2nd with Emmy Award winner Rob Paulsen of  the smash  cartoon series, “Pinky and the Brain” in Washington D.C.

“We are a collaborative of individual voice artists, passionate about our craft, voluntarily coming together to market our close-knit sisterhood of professionals,” explains coordinator (our VOXY Mama) Lisa Biggs.

But it’s not all about the work. The Voxy Ladies are also committed to giving back to the communities where they work and live, and to helping promote the industry and each other.

VOXY Ladies have collected school supplies for underprivileged children, recorded an audio story for children confined to hospital rooms over the holidays, rallied the VO community to contribute costumes to kids who couldn’t afford them at Halloween, and raised funds for Mattel Children’s Hospital by partnering with Prime Time Voices and industry sponsors to create the “12 Days of Voxmas” CD.

The VOXY Ladies want to not only forward our own careers, but also care deeply about each other, our communities and our industry by working together exchanging ideas, making referrals, supporting our members, planning fun industry events, spearheading charity efforts and marketing ourselves as a whole.  Coming soon is a podcast which will supplement the “Girl’s Guide to Voiceover” blog.
