General notes: casting of high school age kids, real slice-of-life performances, not model perfect, but representative of a cross section of friends who gather before school, at gym or at lunch, conversing and interacting in natural, comfortable roles as just everyday kids. Should be able to ad lib natural teenage personas/attitudes/body language on-camera.
 
SCENE 1 (Before school hall activity, group of girls (15 – 18/juniors/seniors) interacting prior to school day – tone is relaxed, some checking on cell phones, small talk, gossiping, casual manner – GIRL 1 interrupts camaraderie.

-Male african american teen of age 17-18 (need audition!)
-Male african american teen of age 13-15 (no audition)
-Strongly prefer a Baltimore native
-Seeking talent with character and not completely clean/attractive in look.  We’re open to different hair styles (short, high and tight, afro, braids, dreads)
-There will be lines/scrip for the older teen and the younger teen will have very minimal lines/responses
-Both should know how to dribble and shoot a basketball (doesn’t need to be exceptionally skilled)

Audition Brief
Story is about inner city youth from low-income/broken families that are faced with temptations of violence and drugs every day – looking for a rough edge/grit with this character and ability to improvise with street slang.
